Dr. Terry Barbour, RPA, has 14 years of archaeological experience working in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He has taught at the university level, helped run archaeological field schools, written site reports, and performed all phases of field work as a Principal Investigator, Field Director, Crew Chief, and Field Technician. His current role as a TerraX Principal Investigator primarily consists of leading Georgia Department of Transportation and Tennessee Valley Authority contracts for several clients. While earning his PhD, he worked for seven years in the Laboratory of Southeastern Archaeology on various field projects in the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, and at the Silver Glen site on the St. Johns River. Dr. Barbour received his B.A. in Anthropology from Appalachian State University, an M.A. in Anthropology from East Carolina University (Advisor: I. Randolph Daniel Jr.), and his Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of Florida (Advisor: Kenneth Sassaman).
