Natalia V. Moonier is an archaeologist who has been in love with the field for ten years and counting. She currently works as a Crew Chief for TerraXplorations, Inc., and assists various projects and surveys with excavation, mapping, research, and writing. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the College of Wooster (2021), where she researched her Independent Study, titled, "Narrative and Image as Memory: An Alternate History of the Alton Piasa Using Indigenous Contexts," which received departmental honors, exemplar status, and the Vivian L. Holiday award.


Prior to TerraX, Ms. Moonier assisted the St. Louis Army Corps of Engineers’ Archaeology and Special Collections departments and volunteered as an educator in community outreach programs for middle and high school students interested in the field of archaeology. Her particular interests include North American and Mesoamerican archaeology with emphases on iconography and the relationships between landscape, ideology, and ancestral memory. Through the years, Ms. Moonier has participated in research and projects in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Guatemala.
