Ms. Klein has eight years of archaeological experience, including field and laboratory work. Her experience ranges from Phase I to Phase III excavations and laboratory analysis of artifacts from the Midwest and Southeast. Ms. Klein specializes in the identification of prehistoric ceramics, faunal remains, and analysis of human skeletal remains. Her thesis work explored a new methodology for identifying postural behaviors in precontact populations. She has contributed to the excavation and analysis of prehistoric Native American remains under NAGPRA guidelines, and the survey and reburial of historic cemeteries.
Ms. Klein’s contributions at TerraX include managing the completion of projects, report writing, and analysis of prehistoric and historic materials such as ceramic, glass, metal, faunal remains, and organic materials. Her research interests include precontact cultural transitions and public outreach.
